Experienced Marine Police Officers Exit Debriefing Series

Marine Policing Knowledge Management held a sharing session on the Experienced Officers Exit Debriefing Series on October 30 at the Marine Regional Headquarters. Retired Station Sergeant Tai Siu-tong was invited to share with about 50 frontline officers his experience in Marine Deck Specialist Stream for more than 36 years.

Mr Tai had served in the Sea Standards Division, and was an instructor of a training course on Marine Police Navigation and Command Certificate in the Marine Police Training School. During the sharing session, Mr Tai talked about his experience in maritime policing and practical seamanship, highlighting the mooring procedures to cope with typhoons.

The attendees were inspired a lot by Mr Tai's sharing. Even though Mr Tai has retired, he remains connected to Marine Region and was delighted to have the opportunity to pass on his experience to the younger generation of Marine Police.
