The Hong Kong Island (HKI) Regional Crime Prevention Office organised the HKI Best Security Services Awards 2016-2017 Presentation Ceremony on November 14. Administrators of 200 property management units and 200 security staff members were commended, with 10 of the security staff members awarded as the Best Security Personnel.

Officiating at the presentation ceremony, HKI Regional Commander Yu Tat-chung also lauded 13 bank employees and money service operators for their assistance in thwarting a total of 10 phone scams in the past 12 months. Meanwhile, HKI officers thanked representatives of a number of companies and organisations for their support in crime prevention.

The awardees were selected by a panel comprising representatives from the Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority, four District Fight Crime Committees of HKI, Teens and Elderly Mission Committee and Crime HKI Regional Headquarters. All the awardees made contribution in protecting their clients' possessions, preventing crime and assisting the Force in arresting culprits.
