An owner of a dried seafood shop, Mr Yeung, together with his wife, presented two silver plates and a tapestry flag to Senior Superintendent of Crime Kowloon West (KW) Wan Siu-hung, Superintendent (Administration and Support) of Crime KW Lau Tak-ming and officers from KW Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) on November 23 as a token of appreciation for their professionalism and efficiency in combating a burglary and preventing him from sustaining any loss.

Officers of RIU KW planned an intelligence-led operation in September and arrested two men who were attempting to burgle Mr Yeung's shop in Sai Wan. Upon further investigation, the officers revealed that the two men were also involved in a series of burglary cases in KW and Hong Kong Island Regions.
