Director of the Police College Lau Chi-wai was invited by the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management (HKIHRM) to give a presentation at HKIHRM Annual Conference and Exhibition 2017, which was held on November 21 and 22.

With the theme of "Surfing the Wave of Technology", Ms Lau talked about the challenges of the Digital Age and how the Force has applied advance technologies to facilitate personnel training. She cited the Force's latest technological training solutions, such as self-developed mobile self-learning apps, scenario-based training, virtual reality training and gamification of learning, which have been proven effective in enhancing the competence of officers.

On the same occasion, officers of Learning Technologies Division (LTD) of the Police College set up a booth to showcase different technology solutions developed by the Force and how they were applied in police training. The participants were offered an opportunity to try out different gadgets and they were impressed with the Force's solutions.
