With the rapid advancement of technology, the Information Systems Wing (ISW) will make enhancements to the access system of the Police Intranet (POINT) on smart devices. A dedicated website for the enhancement project is available on POINT at http://point.hpf.gov.hk:8088/english/isw/pointrevamp2017/index.htm.

The enhancement will facilitate Force members to access POINT by different smart devices such as desktop computers, tablets and mobile devices, and through various channels such as POINT from Home, Protected POINT from Home, Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and Force Smart Device/Mobile Workplace Services (MWS). In addition, the Web Content Uploading System (WCUS) will be overhauled and replaced by a more efficient system.

As part of ISW's Communication Plan, the E-Police Division has already briefed WCUS Content Managers and Editors, staff associations and Training and Staff Relations Officers in the second half of 2017 about the main features, major improvements, and the implementation and migration plans of the new system.
