Six records were set in the annual Force Swimming Gala at Kwun Tong Swimming Pool on December 2. Over 150 swimmers competed in 45 events, with records smashed in women's 50-metre freestyle, women's 100-metre freestyle, women's 50-metre butterfly, women's 50-metre freestyle (Master A), women's 50-metre breaststroke (Master A) and Two Generations Relay 2 x 50 metres freestyle events.

In a tight race, Marine Outer Waters District edged out as the winner of the Men's Overall Formation Champion Trophy, whereas the 81-strong Police College emerged as the day's big winner by capturing the Women's Overall Formation Champion Trophy, the Best Supported Formation Trophy and the Best Cheerleader Formation title.

Police Constable (PC) Leung Ka-ming was crowned the Men's Overall Individual Champion while PC (Auxiliary) Lam Suet broke three records and clinched the Women's Overall Individual Champion for the second consecutive year.

The Police Swimming Club (PSC) continued to run age group races for retirees as well as the Two Generations Relay to encourage family participation. These events stirred up the atmosphere, and the audience burst into a loud round of applause when a four-year-old girl completed a relay race with her father. The PSC congratulated swimmers who broke the records or beat their personal best, and conveyed appreciation to 30 police volunteers who ensured the smooth running of the competition.
