The Hong Kong Police College was invited to assist in accrediting the Instructor Development Course (IDC) conducted by the INTERPOL at the Interpol Global Complex for Innovation in Singapore between November 20 and 24.

The IDC is offered for instructors of INTERPOL's 192 member countries, and the accreditation is to benchmark the course against the training standard of the INTERPOL. During the accreditation exercise, Superintendent (SP) Lok Wai-lurk from the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) acted as an assessor while SP Tsang Chun-pong and Senior Inspector Ng Po-kuen of HKPF served as observers. They took the opportunity to exchange their professional knowledge and experience with INTERPOL's training staff and overseas experts.

Afterwards, the three officers also met INTERPOL's Director of Capacity Building and Training Mr Harold O'Connell for exchanging views on police training.
