More than 150 Force players from 14 Major Formations (MFs) took part in the Inter-Major Formation Badminton Competition, jointly organised by the Police Badminton Club and the Sports Unit at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on December 12, 2017. Crime Wing won the championship after intense matches with other strong teams in the Force.

The Guest of Honour, Deputy Commissioner (Management) Chiu Wai-yin, presented trophies and medals to the winning teams. The Hong Kong Island Region captured the title of the first runner-up while the second to fifth runners-up went to the Support Wing, Marine Region, New Territories North Region and Kowloon West Region respectively. The Police College and the Service Quality Wing took the Merit Awards.
