With the arrangement made by Crime Wing Headquarters, Chief Inspector Tsang Ting-pan led two Inspectors, two Sergeants and 10 Police Constables from various District Investigation Teams (DITs) to pay a study visit to Seoul in South Korea between December 11 and 14, 2017.

The delegates went to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's main office building where they exchanged experience with the local detectives on criminal investigation work and policing challenges. They also visited a local police station where the Seoul crime unit officers introduced their process of investigating criminal cases, the operation of their station-based instant fingerprint matching system, identification procedures and video-recording interview facilities.

The delegates broadened their horizon of policing through the visit.
