Prior to the retirement of the outgoing Regional Commander of New Territories South Lui Hon-kwok, Mr Lui personally acknowledged seven newly promoted Traffic New Territories South (T NTS) Officers' work at the Regional Headquarters.

Mr Lui praised the seven promotees' efforts and encouraged them to continue their contributions in serving the community. They were Chief Inspectors Chan Wing-fai and Chui Wing-luen, Station Sergeants Li Tip-sing and Man Kin-wing as well as Sergeants Lam Chi-kin, Yu Wing-yin and Tjan Kin-yung.

All the promotees echoed comments made by Senior Superintendent of T NTS Michael Armstrong that a career in T NTS is full of challenges, great comradeship and an excellent training field to advance their career. In addition to performing traffic duties that enhance the abilities of officers to independently deal with different situations, T NTS actively encourages its officers to attend in-house and overseas courses in accident investigation in a bid to become recognised experts in their vocational field.
