A representative of a jewellery shop presented pennants to Commander of Western District (WDIST) Chan Yee-lai and officers from the Task Force Sub-Unit of Western Division (TFSU WDIV) on December 29, 2017, in recognition of their efficiency and professionalism in busting a theft.

In response to the snatching of gold necklaces by allegedly the same culprit in three jewellery shops in WDIST last October and November, officers of TFSU WDIV analysed the background of each case to trace the culprit. Based on the intelligence gathered, the officers arrested the culprit in an operation on December 4 and then the culprit pleaded guilty to the offences at court.
