Representatives of Hong Kong & Kowloon Motor Boats and Tub Boats Association, Hong Kong and Kowloon Fishermen Association Limited and Tuen Mun District Fight Crime Committee presented pennants to officers of Marine West Division (MWDIV) on January 9 in appreciation of their swift action in arresting a man in connection with an attempted theft case on a vessel in December 2017. Receiving the pennants were Marine Outer Waters District Commander Angus Pullinger, Divisional Commander of MWDIV Wong Wai-hong, Acting Assistant Divisional Commander (Operations) Lui Shiu-wing and officers of Task Force Sub-Unit (TFSU) of MWDIV.

Last November, a few victims found that the diesel on their vessels at Castle Peak Bay Typhoon Shelter had been stolen. Upon receiving the report, officers of TFSU MWDIV conducted an investigation and mounted an anti-theft operation in the typhoon shelter on December 5 and arrested a suspect.
