Under the co-ordination of the Police College, Chief Inspector Lui Wai-yee led a delegation of 12 officers to pay a study visit to the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) between February 27 and March 2.
The delegates, including Senior Inspectors Tam Chung-hoo and Tsoi Mei-fung, three Sergeants and six Police Constables, called on the Korean National Police University, the Police Training Institute and the Korean Police Investigation Academy. They discussed with the Korean training personnel various policing topics, such as detention facilities and the use of drones. The delegation also visited the Command and Control Centre at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Headquarters to learn more about the use of technology and closed-circuit television for frontline policing.
The visit not only enabled the delegates to gain insights into KNPA's work, but also strengthened their rapport with the Korean counterparts.
