The Force Swimming Team pocketed 27 medals in the Short Course Masters Swimming Championships held by the Hong Kong Amateur Swimming Association at Shing Mun Valley Swimming Pool on January 28. A civilian officer of the Force, Ms Wong See-ming, smashed the masters swimming record for women's 100 metres breaststroke.

The territory-wide competition attracted a record number of swimmers this year. Faced with strong competition, 35 Force swimmers competed in individual and relay races of all age groups and fetched four gold, nine silver and 14 bronze medals. Their excellent performance was attributed to the immense efforts they put in training throughout the winter.
