Force nurtures creative talents

To prepare for nurturing creative talents for the 21st century, the Police College invited Executive Director of the Vocational Training Council (VTC) Dr Yau Tsang Ka-lai to give a sharing on "Innovation and 21st Century Competencies" under the Management Development Programme on March 7.

Dr Yau is dedicated to promoting the development of young people. She has been forging a strategic partnership with trade sectors and promoting international co-operation in a bid to nurture young professional talents in Hong Kong. In this connection, she shared with police officers on how the VTC motivates Generation Z by embedding "design thinking" and a blended learning approach in its diversified training programmes.

On the same occasion, Assistant Executive Director of VTC Dr Yan Ting-kwan cited a few cases to illustrate how "design thinking" and innovative technologies can make learning and working enjoyable.

The sharing enlightened the participants on the application of "design thinking" in training and work.
