Chairman of the Independent Police Complaints Council (IPCC) Mr Kwok Lam-kwong and six IPCC members visited JPC@Pat Heung on March 13 in the company of IPCC Secretary-General Mr Yu Koon-hing. They were given a guided tour to the training facilities of the centre.

Accompanying the members on the visit were Director of Management Services Kwok Yam-shu, Assistant Commissioner (Service Quality) Chung Sze-pong and Chief Superintendent of the Complaints and Internal Investigations Branch Mak Wai-man.

Officers briefed the IPCC members on the development of the centre, and its programmes to help young people develop positive attitudes and to promote crime prevention awareness of the elderly. They saw about 80 Junior Police Call and Senior Police Call members participating in training programmes at the centre.

The visit enabled the IPCC members to enrich their understanding of the quality services provided by the Force for young people and the elderly. The Complaints Against Police Office will continue to arrange visits for the members to other police units to enhance their knowledge of frontline police work and foster a constructive bilateral working relationship.
