The Junior Police Call (JPC) Leader Corps Annual Parade took place in JPC@Pat Heung for the first time, with about 400 teenagers from 12 schools marching orderly and receiving applause from guests on March 10. Director of Operations Tang Ping-keung officiated at the event as the Reviewing Officer and presented awards to outstanding members of the parade.
Mr Tang commended the teenagers for their endeavour and resilience in the training programme. He hoped that they can be role models and continue spreading fight crime messages to different sectors of the community. He also thanked the stakeholders, including principals, teachers, Force members and volunteer trainers, for their support.
Chairperson of the JPC Central Advisory Board Lam Hiu-tong, Chief Director of the JPC Leader Corps Dr Chu Chun-ho and Senior Superintendent (Community Relations) of the Police Public Relations Branch Yu Hoi-kwan awarded trophies and souvenirs to the 12 schools and gave certificates to the volunteer trainers. Furthermore, Mr Tang presented the Most Active Participating Region Award to Regional Commander of Kowloon West Cheuk Hau-yip, and the Most Active Participating District Awards to Eastern District Commander Rupert Dover and Yuen Long District Commander Lee Wai-man.
