Deputy Commissioner (Management) (DCP MAN) Chiu Wai-yin delivered a talk on "Professional Policing and Political Challenges" at the City University of Hong Kong (CityU) on March 22 at the invitation of its scholar from the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Dr Cheung Chor-yung.

Ms Chiu shared with over 100 overseas, Mainland and local students on the professional policing services delivered by the Force, and the pursuit of quality management underpinned by the Force Quality Management Framework. She also spoke on the challenges and difficulties encountered by the Force under the socio-political environment in recent years.

Afterwards, Ms Chiu responded to the students' questions on integrity management, media strategy and recruitment policy. She also reaffirmed the Force's political neutrality.

The talk provided an excellent opportunity for the Force to communicate directly with university students. Dr Cheung and his students expressed gratitude to Ms Chiu for her sharing, which gave them a better understanding of police work.
