The Knowledge Management team of Marine Region ran a Knowledge Café (Marine Policing) on the "Detection of Secret Compartments on Vessels" on April 27 at the Marine Regional Headquarters, with over 80 frontline marine officers and an officer from the Force Search Unit attending the event.

Senior Inspector Chan Yui-hei from the Small Boat Division talked about different types of secret compartments on vessels, search tools, and practical ways to detect such compartments so as to combat smuggling and other illegal activities.

The experience sharing enabled the participants to enhance their professional knowledge and technical skills in vessel search.
