Western District (WDIST) held a carnival to promote the Southern District Road Safety Campaign 2017-2018 in conjunction with the Southern District Road Safety Campaign Committee at the Police College on April 8.

Among the guests of honour at the event were WDIST Commander Wong Siu-hing, Superintendent (Enforcement and Control Division)(Traffic Hong Kong Island) Lee Man-yiu, District Officer (Southern) Ms Dorothy Ma, Chairman of Southern District Council Mr Chu Ching-hong, District Commander (Western) of the Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol (Hong Kong Island and Islands) Fung Cheuk-hang, and Chairman of the event Mr Wong Ling-sun.

More than 3 000 people took part in the carnival, which featured group performances and amusing activities. The event helped to raise public awareness of road safety.
