Over 120 graduates attended the Presentation of Certificates cum Graduation Ceremony of the 14th "Project Marching-on" on May 12. The project was co-organised by Sau Mau Ping District (SMPDIST) and the Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association (HKYWCA) Jockey Club Lok Wah Integrated Social Service Centre to boost the participants' leadership skills.


Deputy Chairman of SMPDIST Senior Police Call (Evergreen and Young) Honorary Presidents Council Mr Sheung Shui-lung acted as the Inspecting Officer in the event. He officiated at the ceremony together with Commander of SMPDIST Wong Kwong-hing, Chairman of SMPDIST Junior Police Call (JPC) Honorary Presidents Council Mr Chow Yiu-ming, volunteers from SMPDIST Auxiliary Police, HKYWCA representatives and principals of four secondary schools participating in the project.


This year, 126 junior form students from the four secondary schools received leadership training under the project. They showed their stamina in a foot drill competition at Kwun Tong Kung Lok Government Secondary School. Their performance received acclaim from the officiating guests, the principals, their teachers and parents.


Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Sheung attributed the success of the project to the support of SMPDIST JPC Honorary Presidents Council, HKYWCA, Auxiliary Police volunteers, the principals and teachers. He heaped praise on the participants and their parents for their support. He also expressed his heartfelt thanks to SMPDIST for organising the project.
