A proprietor of a dried seafood shop, Ms Lee, presented tapestry flags to Commander of Yuen Long District (DC YLDIST) Lee Wai-man, Assistant District Commander (Crime) Tsang Shuk-yin and officers of District Crime Squad 2 (DCS 2) on April 18 in appreciation of their professionalism and efficiency in detecting a burglary.

Chairman of Yuen Long District Fight Crime Committee Mr Lui Kin, Yuen Long District Council Member Mr Siu Long-ming and several community organisers attended the presentation ceremony. Then DC YLDIST hosted a tea reception for the community leaders, and encouraged them to maintain close liaison with all police units in YLDIST.

The burglary occurred in the small hours of March 20. A seafood shop in Yuen Long was burgled and over $80,000 worth of goods were stolen. After an in-depth investigation, DCS 2 and District Intelligence Section of YLDIST arrested a suspect on the same day and recovered some of the stolen goods. The suspect was charged subsequently.
