Director of Personnel and Training Li Kin-fai presented Certificates of Completion to the participants of the "Professional Development Programme for Training Managers" on May 21. He also thanked Director of Police College Lau Chi-wai and Deputy Director (2) Dr Chiu Sau-mee for their leadership in police training.
The Police College held the Professional Development Programme from last September to April this year for officers of the rank of Superintendent or above in the Police College. The programme aimed to consolidate the participants' training knowledge and to develop the Police College into a leading centre of excellence.
The programme consisted of 13 modules, covering core learning and development competencies and "design thinking". The trainers included Honorary College Advisors and experts from the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management, the Swire Group and the Civil Service Training and Development Institute.
The participants visited the prestigious Hong Kong Jockey Club College, the CLP Power Academy and the Cordis Hotel to learn about their best training practices. They found the programme inspiring, adding that it has enhanced their training skills and broadened their horizons.
