The Police College made arrangements for Senior Inspector Wong Chiu-chak to take part in the 46th Asia Regional Law Enforcement Management Program in Hanoi, Vietnam, from April 9 to 27. The program was co-organised by the Australian Federal Police and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology for 23 police officers from Asia and Australia.

Under the theme of "People Smuggling and Human Trafficking", the program covered leadership and management, human trafficking and related crimes, enhancement of investigation capabilities and the judicial system as well as multi-stakeholder collaboration. The training was conducted by experienced police leaders and representatives of non-governmental organisations from different countries.

The program enabled Mr Wong to learn about the latest trend of human trafficking and smuggling in Asia-Pacific region, and build a network with stakeholders. He also shared with his counterparts the difficulties and challenges of law enforcement.
