Mong Kok District (MKDIST), together with the Emergency Unit of Kowloon West Region (EU KW), brought more than 40 patients of Hong Kong Mucopolysaccharidoses & Rare Genetic Diseases Mutual Aid Group and their families to visit Mong Kok Police Station on June 10.
The Police Community Relations Office of MKDIST told the visitors about patrol officers' duties as well as the Police's social media channels. Then officers of EU KW explained to the visitors the structure and daily work of EU. Apart from showing their accoutrements, they gave a demonstration on how to bring violent people under control. The visit ended with a police dog show.
The Mutual Aid Group cherished the opportunity to learn more about police work. All the patients and their families thanked the Force for its professionalism in protecting the lives and property of the public. They said they would introduce the Police's social media to their friends and families, and would alert them of the modus operandi of common crimes.
