The Road Safety Office of Traffic Hong Kong Island (T HKI) organised anti-drink driving publicity activities in Police Districts of HKI on the evenings of June 15 and 22 to remind the public not to drive after drinking during the World Cup period.
Officers of the Road Safety Office distributed anti-drink driving leaflets in the bar area of Lan Kwai Fong and SOHO East and at Lockhart Road and Forbes Street, together with District Councillors Ms Lee Kwun-yee and Mr Wong Chi-chung, the Road Safety Campaign Committee, the Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol (Hong Kong Island and Islands) and officers of Police Community Relations Offices and District Traffic Teams.
Members of the public were invited to perform a screening breath test to learn more about the harmful effects of drink driving and the relevant law. The publicity activities were well received by the public.
