Police Constable Wong Sing-yu was presented with the Shave Cup, the Silver Whistle and the Commissioner's Certificate of Academic Merit on his graduation from the Police College on June 23.

Having been a member of Shatin Junior Police Call (JPC) for eight years, he has maintained close contact with officers of Police Community Relations Office of Shatin District (STDIST) and has developed a strong sense of belonging. He has been impressed with the professionalism of the Police and was inspired to become a police officer.

Mr Wong was an Advanced JPC Leader before he was recruited as a police constable. With the skills and knowledge he learned in JPC, he was well prepared for the foundation training at the Police College and ultimately won the Shave Cup among 275 trainees. He has been posted to STDIST upon graduation. He feels honoured to serve STDIST in a different capacity.
