Representatives of the Owners' Corporation and a security department of Chungking Mansions, together with Yau Tsim Mong District Council Member Ms Kwan Sau-ling, presented tapestry banners and plaques to officers of District Intelligence Section of Yau Tsim District (DIS YTDIST) and Chungking and Mirador Mansions Task Force Sub-Unit of Tsim Sha Tsui Division (TSTDIV) on June 7 for their professionalism and exemplary service.

Those receiving the commendation were YTDIST Commander Chow Yat-ming, Deputy District Commander Ma Wai-hing, Assistant District Commander (Crime) Chan Tsz-leung, TSTDIV Commander Mak Man-yu, Chief Inspector (Crime) Lee King-hei of YTDIST, Assistant Divisional Commander (Operations) Chan Wai-wah, and officers of DIS YTDIST and Chungking and Mirador Mansions Task Force Sub-Unit.

The officers detected a case of "Trafficking in Dangerous Drugs" in Chungking Mansion. They arrested three men on May 7 and seized over 12 kilograms of cannabis resin with a market value of about one million dollars.
