Western District (WDIST) invited Conservation Officer of the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) Mr Shek Chung-tong to talk about the handling of wild boars in the Western WIKI series on May 7.

Mr Shek explained the characteristics of wild boars and AFCD's role in handling the intrusion of wild boars into urban areas. Then he gave tips to 35 officers about ways to deal with wild boars roaming in city outskirts. This allowed closer collaboration between the two departments in handling reports of sighting of the wild animal.

The participants said the sharing session has enhanced their knowledge and confidence in tackling such cases.
