Kowloon East (KE) Region invited two prosecutors from Kwun Tong Magistracy to give a sharing session to KE officers on August 2 on court proceedings and case preparation.

The session was conducted by Senior Court Prosecutor II (Operations) Mr William Wong and Acting Senior Court Prosecutor II (Administration) Ms Ivy Chau. Speaking at the opening of the event, KE Regional Commander Cheung Ching thanked the two speakers for their sharing.

The speakers spoke on ways to deal with fresh cases, arraignments and plead-not-guilty cases. They also talked about the preparation for court documents and case files. Under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Crime KE Regional Headquarters Chim Tak-ming, the participants actively raised questions during the session. After the event, Chief Inspectors (Investigation/Crime) from each District were required to share with each other what they learned in the session. The event received positive feedback from young detectives, including junior police officers, because the topics met their practical needs.
