The Creative Group of the Formation Integrity Committee (FIC) of the E Department organised an Integrity Management (IM) workshop on July 10 to enhance officers' awareness and knowledge of police ethics and IM.
Over 60 officers from the Administration Wing, the Finance Wing and the Planning and Development Branch attended the event. The FIC Chairman, Chief Superintendent Ho Wai-hong, thanked the attendees for their active participation and shared with them his experience and views on integrity.
The workshop started with a briefing on the IM framework and strategy of the Force. Chief Inspector Lee Chi-man of Internal Investigations Office (Hong Kong Island) talked about some common integrity issues in the Force, citing real life examples to illustrate the importance of integrity. Then Senior Community Relations Officer of the Independent Commission Against Corruption Mr Charles Ng spoke on the provisions of the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance. He also highlighted the management of conflict of interests and misconduct in public office with the aid of two videos relating to procurement.
The workshop was well received by the attendees. Most of them found the workshop inspiring and informative and could effectively enhance their awareness of integrity.
