The Hong Kong Police College (HKPC) published its first-ever Training Prospectus with augmented reality (AR) effect early this year to let officers and external training partners get a better understanding of its professional training programmes.

To enrich readers' experience and increase their interest in reading, the Learning Technologies Division has embedded four in-house produced videos into the Prospectus via AR technology. Apart from viewing the photographs and text in the printed copy, readers can download and watch a number of award winning videos, including HKPC's corporate video, another video titled "Days and Nights" and two videos on the Police Museum, by their mobile phones.

This innovative publication has been highly appreciated by academia and peer organisations. Honorary College Advisor on Knowledge Management Professor Eric Tsui has produced a video to introduce the AR effect of the Prospectus. The video can be viewed through the following link (https://youtu.be/rf1Zq_ar3iw). In addition, Professor Tsui will post the video on the platform of the "Massive Open Online Course" (MOOC) with the title of "Industry 4.0" for sharing with worldwide learners. MOOCs are free online self-learning courses that facilitate learners around the world to acquire skills and knowledge at any time and anywhere.
