A Tuen Mun resident, Ms Lam, presented tapestry flags and trophies to Tuen Mun District (TMDIST) Commander Kong Man-keung, Assistant District Commander (Crime) Li Suk-yee and officers of Team 1 of District Crime Squad (DCS 1) on July 18 in recognition of their professionalism and prompt detection of a case of theft and misleading police officers.

The case happened on May 6 when Ms Lam took a taxi with $1.18 million in cash. She left the cash in the taxi and, therefore, reported the case to the Police. DCS 1 TMDIST took over the case and approached the driver. At first the driver said that he could not found the money in his taxi. However, after an in-depth investigation, the officers unveiled the truth and recovered the lost property from the driver. The driver was arrested and charged subsequently.
