The Organized Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB) held a seminar on Macao's gaming industry at the Police Headquarters on July 31, with Macao Judiciary Police's Deputy Director Mr Chan Kin-hong, Acting Head of Gaming-related Crimes Division Mr Chan Chong-in, Head of Gaming-related Crimes Patrol Section Mr Leong Kin-wai, and Chief Criminal Investigators Mr Lao Chi-man and Mr Chan Ka-ho as keynote speakers.
Director of Crime and Security Li Chi-hang officiated at the opening ceremony. Chief Inspector (CIP) Cheung Hang-fai of the Financial Investigation Division of the Narcotics Bureau and CIP Chan Shun-ching of the OCTB also shared their experience in the seminar. The event attracted more than 200 participants, including crime officers from Crime Wing and Regions, Force Gambling Experts and Public Prosecutors from the Department of Justice.
The keynote speakers introduced the development of Macao's gaming industry and talked about its challenges, and answered many questions from the participants. This enhanced the Force's capability in tackling related cases such as money laundering and loan sharking.
