Marine Port District (MPDIST) held a family day at its headquarters on August 18 to let officers' relatives and friends get a first-hand experience of Marine Police work.
The family day featured a variety of activities, including visiting police launches, showcasing police and navigation equipment and introducing the history of Marine Police, in-service training and daily work of officers. Apart from setting up a balloon twisting stall, MPDIST put on display police vehicles and uniforms from different decades.
Over 300 relatives and friends of officers joined the family day. The event enriched their understanding about the officers' daily work, increased the officers' sense of belonging to MPDIST and fostered internal communication.
