The Knowledge Management (Marine Policing) ran a seminar on the "Field of Pilotage in Hong Kong Waters" in the "Beyond Boundaries Learning Series" at Marine Harbour Division Base on August 24.

Senior Pilot of the Hong Kong Pilots Association Limited Mr Alex Yu was invited to share with marine police officers his extensive work experience as a captain and pilot on ocean-going cargo vessels over the years. He highlighted the safety of handling cargo vessels, with respect to ship berthing as well as boarding and getting off cargo vessels.

About 50 frontline officers of Marine Police attended the event and were enthusiastic about Mr Yu's sharing. The seminar increased their understanding of ocean shipment and local pilotage issues, and enhanced their professional knowledge and practical skills.
