The Police Community Relations Office of Eastern District (PCRO EDIST) mounted a Fight Crime Publicity Campaign in conjunction with a department store in Quarry Bay on August 21 to raise customers' anti-theft awareness.

Officiating at the opening ceremony were Acting EDIST Commander Leung Tsz-kin, Chairman of Eastern District Council Mr Wong Kin-pan and Chairman of Eastern District Fight Crime Committee (EDFCC) Dr Yeung Wai-hong.

After the ceremony, the officiating guests and officers of PCRO EDIST and the Regional Crime Prevention Office of Hong Kong Island joined Eastern District Councillors, EDFCC members, local representatives, Senior Police Call and Junior Police Call members of EDIST and non-ethnic Chinese ambassadors to distribute crime prevention leaflets and souvenirs to customers in the department store to remind them to take care of their belongings and beware of telephone deception.
