The Police Rowing Club hosted a Rowing Star Course at the Sha Tin Rowing Centre on August 25 and 26. Fifteen Force members and their family members participated in rowing activity for the first time to share the joy of the game in Shing Mun River.

Some qualified instructors taught the participants the skills of rowing on ergos, land-based machines designed to simulate the experience of rowing. The participants then practised on water.

All the participants completed the course and were awarded an elementary level certificate issued by the "Hong Kong, China Rowing Association". They said they have not only learned a new sport that is good for health, but also gained a better understanding of the unyielding spirit of athletes.
