Yuen Long District (YLDIST) and Yuen Long District Fight Crime Committee (YLDFCC) co-organised the 2018-2019 YLDFCC Briefing cum YLDIST Good Citizen Award and Best Police Award Presentation Ceremony at Yuen Long Town Hall on September 20.

YLDIST Commander Lee Wai-man, YLDFCC Chairman Mr Lui Kin, Yuen Long District Council Chairman Mr Shum Ho-kit and some community leaders presented the awards to the winners.

Seven citizens were presented with YLDIST Good Citizen Award in recognition of their exceptional bravery and resourcefulness in assisting the Police in apprehending culprits and protecting the life and property of the public. Thirty-four officers, selected by the YLDFCC from over 200 nominees, were honoured with YLDIST Best Police Award in appreciation of their professionalism in crime prevention and detection of a number of cases. They were highly commended by the community for their dedication to fighting crime over the year.
