Chairman of Kwai Tsing District Fight Crime Committee (DFCC) Mr Lau Hing-wah presented letters to officers of Kwai Tsing District (KWTDIST) in recognition of Commander Lau Kit-man's outstanding leadership and the District Crime Squad's efforts in detecting a number of "Indecent Assault" and "Outraging Public Decency" cases between July and September. The Chairman made the commendation after hearing a work report by Commissioner Lo Wai-chung at a meeting of Kwai Tsing DFCC on October 24.

At the DFCC meeting, Commissioner Lo reviewed the crime situation in Hong Kong and in KWTDIST. Between January and July 2018, the number of crime cases in KWTDIST dropped by 12.9 per cent as compared with the same period in 2017. The detection rate was maintained at a high level of 48.8 per cent. These achievements are attributed to the concerted efforts of officers in KWTDIST. They are committed to preventing and combating crime as well as maintaining close liaison with local stakeholders to build a harmonious and stable community.

The officers were encouraged by the affirmation of the Kwai Tsing DFCC. They pledged to continue to fight crime and safeguard the community.
