The Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) joined a workshop hosted by the Fire Services Department (FSD) on September 27 about law enforcement and prosecution against unlicensed guest houses on online platforms. The workshop was aimed at sharing the knowledge of investigating technology crimes. A total of 150 officers from the FSD and the Office of the Licensing Authority of the Home Affairs Department (HAD) attended the event.

Inspector Lee Chi-yuen of the CSTCB gave a presentation on Open Source Information Research and Information Gathering Techniques, with the illustration of case studies. The workshop drew positive feedback from the participants as they found the knowledge valuable for combating unlicensed guest house operators on online platforms.
