A Security Manager of Ocean Park, Mr To Kwok-leung, presented tapestry flags to officers of Task Force Sub-Unit (TFSU) of Railway District (RAILDIST) and Aberdeen Division (ABDDIV) on October 8 in recognition of their joint efforts in combating pickpocketing in the park. During a joint operation on August 7, officers quickly identified a pickpocket gang and, in collaboration with the Security Department of the park, arrested two two-way permit holders for pickpocketing.

The success of the operation was attributed to the implementation of the Integrated Railway Policing Strategy from 2016. Frontline uniformed officers have been deployed to step up the patrol of black spots. Joint operations have also been conducted by RAILDIST with TFSU of surface Districts against pickpocketing. This has strengthened co-operation and intelligence exchange between RAILDIST and surface Districts.
