The presentation ceremony of the New Territories South (NTS) Best Security Personnel Awards 2017-18 was held on November 20 at the Tsuen Wan Town Hall, with NTS Regional Commander Patrick Laidler as the officiating guest, Vice-chairman of Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority Mr Yip Chun-nam, President of The Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies Dr Chan Chi-kau, and representatives of Kwai Tsing, Tsuen Wan, Sha Tin and Islands District Fight Crime Committees as the award presentation guests.

A total of 1 122 security practitioners were nominated for the awards by incorporated owners, property management companies and security companies. From these nominations, an adjudicating panel selected winners of 508 awards including 152 Outstanding Personnel Awards, 343 Quality Personnel Awards and 13 Best Security Personnel Awards. Twelve property management companies were also presented with the Best Partnership of Crime Prevention Awards in recognition of their contribution to crime prevention.

Mr Laidler praised all awardees for the valuable contributions and acknowledged the important role that the security industry played in preventing and detecting crime.
