Under the arrangement of the Civil Service Bureau, six superintendent grade officers participated in three development programmes in Beijing in October and November.

Chief Superintendent Kong Hok-lai and Superintendent Shum Hoi-kwong attended a national studies programme at Tsinghua University from October 22 to November 7 together with 27 senior government officers from other departments. Senior Superintendent Lam Hung-chuen and Superintendent Leung Kwok-wing also went on a similar programme at Peking University from October 16 to November 1.

Meanwhile, Superintendents Ng Wing-sze and Cheng Wai-kin joined a course on international relations and foreign affairs at China Foreign Affairs University from October 18 to 26.

Through studies and visits organised by the Mainland's top educational institutes, the participants enhanced their understanding of the latest developments of the Mainland.
