A seven-member delegation of New Territories North (NTN) Region visited the Criminal Investigation Department of Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department (PSD) as well as Guangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau on November 27 and 28 to share work experience with their counterparts. The delegation, led by Chief Inspector Ho Shun-wing of the Regional Intelligence Unit, comprised inspectorate officers from different units.

The delegates called on the Forensic Science Center of Guangdong Provincial PSD and Guangdong Center for Combating Telecommunication Fraud and Cyber Crime to learn about the latest forensic technology and the local crime trend. Both sides shared their strategies for tackling telephone deception and cyber crime. Then the delegation went to a police station at Yuexiu District in Guangzhou to exchange their experience with frontline officers and learn about the use of surveillance cameras in combating crime.

The visit enabled the delegates to better understand the Mainland's technology in preventing and detecting crime.
