The Police Tactical Unit Headquarters (PTU HQ) raised a record donation of over $180,000 on December 20 in continuous support of the South China Morning Post's charity campaign, Operation Santa Claus 2018. Contributions came from the Operations Wing, various PTU Companies, Regional Emergency Units and PTU HQ.

Following an opening address by PTU Commandant David Jordan, over 500 officers competed in seven challenging games. The officers came from PTU Bravo Company (OPS CON 1), Charlie Company (New Territories North), Foxtrot Company (New Territories South), Golf Company (Kowloon East), Yankee Company (Kowloon West) and Zulu Company (Hong Kong Island); the under-training PTU Echo, Alpha and Delta Companies; PTU HQ and the Special Duties Unit. Other fundraising activities included sales of donated items, a charity buffet lunch and a photo-taking session.

The event concluded with Mr Jordan presenting a cheque to a representative of the South China Morning Post (SCMP). Mr Jordan thanked all officers for helping the underprivileged in the community.
