Commissioner Lo Wai-chung presented CP's Unit Commendation to the Learning Technologies Division (LTD) of the Police College on February 11 in recognition of its remarkable performance and contribution to the Force.

Since its establishment in 2005, the LTD has been performing extremely well in producing professional police training and promotional videos, self-developed training systems and e-Learning packages to promote the application of modern learning technologies to enhance the efficiency of police training.

The productions were recognised by renowned professional organisations and won a number of local and international awards. Two examples are the Scenario-based Interactive Multi-player Simulation as well as a video entitled "A small role? But profound impact!" that won the Galaxy Awards 2018. In addition, the LTD has been collaborating with technology research organisations and local universities to strengthen its technology research and development capabilities, with fruitful results.

Mr Lo presented the commendation to representatives of the LTD, namely Project Director (former Superintendent of the LTD) Yip Kai-hung who had led the Division for over 13 years, and Production Director Tam Yiu-hung. Mr Lo also met a cross section of LTD staff and expressed appreciation for their long-term support and contribution to employing advanced technologies for raising the professional standard of police training.
