The Probationary Inspector Training Division of the School of Foundation Training (SFT) was named one of the 2019 Training Top 125 Organizations by Training Magazine in the United States (US). This is the second consecutive year that the Police College has been honoured. The Detective Training Centre won the same award in 2018.

The "Training Top 125" is a prestigious award that commends organizations for their expertise in training and human capital development. Every year, many international organizations and enterprises compete for the award. The applications are assessed by a panel of in-house and independent training experts.

Chief Inspector Lau Chun-ping and Senior Inspector Lui Ka-wai of the Probationary Inspector Training Division received the award on behalf of the Police College at an award presentation ceremony on February 25 in Orlando, Florida.

During their stay in the United States, the two officers also attended a three-day training conference and expo with representatives from business, finance and banking, health and medical, insurance, and information technology sectors. The event provided an opportunity for the participants to share their experience and best practices in training with other professionals.
