The course covered an analysis of drug trends, drug manufacturing, potential hazards at scene, confidential informer and intelligence management, as well as an introduction of tracking devices and planning of anti-drug operations. Trainers of the NCJA shared their expertise and experience with the trainees through lectures and case studies. The trainees also participated in a vehicle tracking and surveillance exercise to raise their understanding of anti-drug operations of local police. They were each awarded a certificate upon completion of the course.
Ms Leung said that the course had not only broadened her horizons in narcotics investigation and the police work in the US, but also provided an opportunity for her to exchange experience with US officers.
