The Operations Wing of Hong Kong Island (OPS HKI) has implemented various initiatives to reinforce a culture of integrity and Force values.

In December 2018, a "Pointers on Aberrant Behaviours and Timely Intervention" Card Design Competition was held by the Junior Police Officer Integrity Management Committee of OPS HKI. The competition aimed at promoting the theme of "Remind, Engage and Advice to Desist", allowing officers to bring their creativity into full play through designing a card, as well as reminding officers of the importance of spotting signs of aberrant behaviours and making timely interventions.

The competition drew an overwhelming response, with a total of 42 entries. Winners were selected by an adjudication panel formed by HKI officers. The artworks of winners of The Best Front Design Award and The Best Back Design Award have been used for the production of cards for distribution to all units of HKI Regional Headquarters to promote integrity.

At the prize presentation ceremony on January 25, HKI Regional Commander Kwok Pak-chung and Deputy Regional Commander Lui Kam-ho presented awards to the winners. Mr Kwok reminded officers to bear in mind the theme of the competition - "Remind, Engage and Advice to Desist". He also urged all supervisory officers to emphasise the importance of integrity, set a good example and exercise proper supervision over their subordinates.
